This Ditch Witch (or Vermeer) trencher rental is a fully hydrostatic unit. It is very easy to turn by shifting the handle to the side.

Trenching speed is aproximately 100 feet per hour but can vary greatly depending on soil conditions (faster in clean, light soil; slower where roots, rocks, and hard ground exists). Not for use in trenching across stone or paved driveways.

The Ditch Witch C16X is a compact pedestrian trencher that includes hydrostatic trencher drive motors to each track allowing easy maneuvering and turning. The track design improves flotation and allows for operation across an existing trench. Cuts a 3.5" wide ditch. Trenchers are sometimes referred to as a Ditch Witch or DitchWitch or ditch digger or trench digger or walk behind trencher. Includes free rental of trench spoon clean out tool.
